#33DC Day 10 - Flowers

Happy Thanksgiving All!
Flowers are up for day 10 of this challenge and it coincides with my purchase of some China Glaze liquid sand polishes so you get to see this textured flower design today.

So, who amongst you have cats? Because my new cat is splendid but his fur gets everywhere, including on my nails. Grawr. Knowing it will be a problem and having cat fur actually on your nails are very different. Oh well.

This is China Glaze Pussy Galore as a base with Solitaire and Tiffany Case for the flowers.

Thanks for looking, see you later!

#31DC2013 Day 14 - Flowers

Oh flowers.. this one drove me mad. There is a reason it is being posted so late today, I must have redone this day's design six or seven times. Luckily I accomplished something I was satisfied with before the sun went down and with time to do everything a day requires other than nail polish.

I wanted to stick to pinks and purples, throughout my attempts that never wavered. I used Gosh Rose, Sinful Colors Let's Talk and my Kiss nail art pen in purple for my colours with Kleancolor Fuschia Glitter on top for some sparkle.

That's all folks!

Rhinestone Flowers

So here I am continuing my fun with my new polish purchases. I'm revisiting the neon and Worth the Risque combo ala flower this time, mostly to give myself an excuse to try rhinestones.

I had fun with this design, although it is a little childish. I don't mind that, I was sick when I did it so it was nice to have some cute neon flowers and jewels to cheer myself up.

This design had a surprising amount of staying power. I had it on for 6 days before a rhinestone came off, although I was sick at home for about 5 days of that. The images above and below are just before I took it off, the orange rhinestone on my pointer finger is the one that came off that morning, you can see the crack in the polish where I bent my nail earlier that day. Replacing the rhinestone was easy as pie, but the crack meant it just couldn't stay, plus I was getting a bit bored with it by then.

All in all, fun, cute, kiddy. I think I might of went a bit overboard with the flowers and the rhinestones and the rainbow of colours though. What do you think?
