Teal French Manicure
We're into a very busy time of the year, and I think I'll need to work my way through the rest of my challenge a bit more slowly, but I figure that isn't a reason to not post at all, and if I'm not posting because I'm embarrassed for not having a challenge post, well, that's just silly. So here is a nice simple, elegant coloured french manicure. Let me know what you think!
I love to do a simple french manicure every few weeks, it's my break from crazy colours and patterns since I tend to enjoy really out there choices most of the time. It's nice to have something elegant and unobtrusive every now and then. Do you agree? Let me know!

#33DC Day 10 - Flowers
Happy Thanksgiving All!
Flowers are up for day 10 of this challenge and it coincides with my purchase of some China Glaze liquid sand polishes so you get to see this textured flower design today.
So, who amongst you have cats? Because my new cat is splendid but his fur gets everywhere, including on my nails. Grawr. Knowing it will be a problem and having cat fur actually on your nails are very different. Oh well.
This is China Glaze Pussy Galore as a base with Solitaire and Tiffany Case for the flowers.
Thanks for looking, see you later!

#33DC Day[9] - Indian
So right off the bat, this is Thailand not India, I'm adding a few letters and removing an i so that I can do this design and calling it kosher since Thailand and India have influence over one another. Alright, without further ado now, here is my design!
It's based off of a pair of harem pants I got from ThaiHippieBoho on Etsy. They are amazingly comfortable and unique and, surprisingly, I haven't owned something that gets more compliments more frequently. But enough about the pants, I'm already memorializing them in nail polish.
I used Sally Hansen Blue It for the base colour, Sally Hansen Hi-Res for the hearts and a gold and a white striper for the rest along with my trusty dotting tool.
I just want to gush for a moment about drawing hearts with a dotting tool, it is so fast and simple and easy. Just a little pull down after two dots gets you wonderful hearts, I keep doing hearts just to practice more.
Alright, that's all, but I'll see you on Thanksgiving (Woo! Canada!) for day 10 of this challenge!
Oh, did anyone else get the Day[9] reference I giggled over while posting this 9th day of the challenge? If you did you might be excited to hear I'm going to the WCS season 3 finals in Toronto! If you didn't don't worry, I'm just nerding out a little.

#33DC Day 8 - Chevrons
Ah, it's late! My excuse is that my boyfriend needed to borrow my laptop since I have microsoft office and he doesn't and needed a finicky detail that only word does well. Homework comes before blogging I guess, no matter how often I break that rule.
Late or no, here is my addition to day 8 of the 33 day challenge. I was intending to have 3 levels to the chevron pattern here but I ended up really liking what I had so I stuck with it. It's simple and striking and I love these two colours together.
I have a question for everyone: Is a chevron only this look like I've done or is it also multiple ups and downs on one nail, the zigzag look that some people have done for this? I'm just not sure, I went with this because I know it is a chevron but does the other style count as well?
Let me know what you think!

#33DC Day 7 - Oldest Untried
Art with my oldest untried is the theme for today, and I've got swatches with the polishes to show off as well.
I used cling wrap to dab on China Glaze Rare & Radiant over top of China Glaze Deviantly Daring, both of which I bought excitedly, swatched and didn't use again.
I love them and they are gorgeous but I couldn't think of what to do with them. So when I saw this challenge I thought I'd put them together and see what happened.
I think I'm pretty happy with this, the multihue of both of these works well with this design and using them together means they both have the same look to them and ties the manicure together well.
That's it for the art part, now here are the swatches.
Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear from you.

#33DC Day 6 - Texture
Sparkles, YAY! So I dipped my nails in glitter today. I tried to get it off everything but my nails but.. you know glitter.. so excuse the random sparkles in my photos.
I have a very sad thing to tell you, I wanted so badly to use a textured nail polish for today's challenge but.. I don't own one.. Isn't that sad? I think I'll need to remedy this very soon.

#31DC2013 Day 31 AND #33DC Day 5 - Two-in-One!
I stalled a day on my last post to the 31 day challenge so that these two could be posted together because I think that nails I love should connect to the 33 day challenge I'm also participating in since the nail art community is something I really do love. I hope you like my 2-in-1 post!
The technique I used was pioneered by The Nailasaurus and she named it waterfall nail art. I love her blog and wanted to pay tribute to that with this last day in the 31 day challenge using the colours red white and green to tie into the mexican theme for the 33 day challenge.
Please take a peek at both of these inlinkz, I adore what everyone has been doing and it definitely deserves a look.

#31DC2013 Day 30 - A Tutorial
I almost didn't get this post out to you today because on Sunday we got a cat, and I haven't cared a whit about anything else. He's the sweetest so I'm posting a picture of him too, along with my nails. I want to apologize for the lighting though, I was distracted by my new friend until the sun went down and I realized I hadn't done my nails today. Eep!
I expect many of you will recognize these animated cartoon nails by cutepolish, over on youtube. If not I highly recommend her channel, it's great and I love her videos.
I knew as soon as I started this challenge that this was the tutorial I was going to follow, because as soon as I saw it I loved it. And here is someone else I loved as soon as I saw. Awww..
Thanks for visiting, see you tomorrow for the very last day of this challenge!
